The unbelieveble happened. We DID won the Eisners.

At the moment I was so nervous that didnt know what to say.I can't remember what I said. But, I'll now, thank everybody that deserves praise for this.

First of all, the master of horror, Stephen King, who brillantly collaborated with a phenomenal Skinner Sweet origin story, and, I'm sure, have a crucial importance in the recognizement of the book.We couldnt have a better godfather for the book.

Dave McCaig. I dont understand why ha was not nominated as best colorist, but i know, he is the best in the business right now. BEST ONE. I couldnt be more honored of being working with a color monster like this.

Will Dennis. The guy who got me into the project. The guy who trusted in my work, even seeing mainstreen stuff like Blue Beetle and Superman/Batman believed that i could do something totally different, against all odds.

Karen Berger. She is though, i always had fear of her, until met her. She is simply amazing, and i have never seen anybody who cares about her people as she does. Pleased to be "one of yours".

Special thanks to my co-workers and big friends Mark Doyle and Scott Snyder.

I have written about Mark before. He is the guy who pushed me in getting something better, ALL the time. Sometimes im lazy. He doesnt let me. He is the guy who fights me to do the best thing, but as well, i know he fights for me to do the best thing, and that, makes him the best editor I have ever worked with.

What else can i say about Scott? I am an only child, but Scott is like my brother. We simply "cliked" since the begining. We have the same ideas for vampires. Is a guy who shares all the ideas with me. Not only American Vampire, but also Batman, Iron Man and everything else he does. I have never seen anybody as excited about work in comics as he is. Its contagious.

Guys.I'm glad to share this award with all of you.

Im getting a lot of messages asking if im leaving American Vampire. Guys, i really appreciated the love and concerning but DON'T WORRY! IM STILL IN!!

The book is my main project, im very happy on it, and really, Scott, Mark and I we are preparing a lot of really cool stuff for the next arcs. Ill stay for the WHOLE run, drawing the main arcs while we will ave some guest artists (Like Mateus Santolouco who is beautifully illustrating issues #10 and #11 and the awesome Danjel Zezelj who is taking care of issue #12. Ill be back on issue #13, that will feature a new big arc on the 4oties.

Again, thanks for the love, and enjoy Santolouco and Zezelj art! They are really kicking ass!

Every year, the entertainment website IGN chooses the year's best videogames, movies, TV shows, and, luckly, COMICS!
After several good reviews from them, American Vamipre, the comic series that I run with Scott Snyder was choosen the BEST NEW SERIES of 2010 and nominated for BEST SERIES OF THE YEAR.

We coludn't be happier with everything that happen in 2010. The great feedback from the reviews, all the love of the fans.

Hi Everybody.

There is a looong time I dont post anything here and i have a good excuse. I just had no time to do anything else than American Vampire and going conventions. I didnt even had time to download the pics yet! Now, things are calmer.

Unfortunately I wont attend Rio ComicCon, so ill have more time to give the blog and social networks the proper attention.

All right! American Vampire Vol1 HC is out for about a month, and i have to say, its going really well. So well, that the book is on the NY Times Bestseller List for 3 weeks.

I really want to thank Scott, Stephen, Mark and Will for making it happen, and specially, the support of the fans, who are really making it happen.

Soon, ill do a post about NYCC and Crack bang Boom. The two conventions i went last month!

Next week, I’ll be flying to California, USA, to attend in one of the biggest comic (entertainment) conventions in the world. The San Diego Comic-Con.

Im happy on getting back, my last time was in 2007 (ok, its just 3 years but feels like 10). And this year is even more special, first, because Mondo Urbano, The first volume of the creator owned project I run with Mateus Santolouco and Eduardo Medeiros is finally coming out by Oni Press; second, because American Vampire, the amazing project im doing with Scott Snyder and Stephen King(!) is already arround, and selling out! We will be signing everyday in Vertigo’s booth and talking about it in a couple of panels; and last, but not least, for the first time in my SDCC history, Ill share a booth, with the amazing artists Gabriel Bá, Fabio Moon, Cliff Chiang and Jill Thompson. To promote the releasing, the popular website The Daily Beast has released today a nice preview of issue #1 and nothing less than an interview with Stephen King, talking about the project and writing comics for the first time.

I was anxious for like a week, waiting for Oni Press May's Solicitation. It FINALLY CAME OUT!
MONDO URBANO, the Brazilian Indie series, created by Eduardo Medeiros, Mateus Santolouco and myself will finally be published in US by our friends from Oni Press (www.onipress.com). This trade will include the original serie PowerTrio, Overdose, Cabaret and Encore, and will also bring a totally new "Bonus Track"story.
